I had the delightful chance to meet with Australian artists Anna Louise Richardson and Abdul-Rahman Abdullah. They are a perfect pair in both love and life, working together and independently in their careers. As each other's greatest confidants, they exchange ideas and support one another in developing concepts and exploring their inquiries, all while raising three wonderful children.
We started the conversation from the moment they first met, moving on to the avenues their artistic practice enables them to pursue and explore. This includes delving into aspects of human experience that can be challenging for people to discuss and handle. I found their perspective on animal archetypes and their use as a means to comprehend, process, and explore the human condition particularly intriguing.
It was a wonderful morning at their home and studio, and I was truly grateful for the opportunity to speak with them. Discover more about their practice in the interview above.
