My recent discussion with Artist Christophe Canato was a very open, candid and gave wonderful insight into the source of his sincere practice.
The French-Australian artist spoke of his early work with costumes moving to fashion and his deep delve into photography, pushing the artform from taking photos to playing with colours, sets, objects, characters, symbols, from minimalism to complex layering.
Accomplished in the extensive exploration of his practice, one has to admire such an extensive journey with so many rich, raw and sometimes rough experiences, but this is the beauty of his work. Life is not always perfect and I admire his work for the richness in his life's journey it reflects.
